This is a spicy thicky egg curry done without tomato, with a combination of seasame seeds. Try it and enjoy the new flavor.
Ingredients:
1. Boiled eggs - 4
To Grind:
1. Ginger - 2 inch piece
2. Garlic - 5 cloves
3. Seasame seeds ( white colour) - 1 tbs
4. Red chillies - 2
5. Green chilles - 2
6. Onion - 1 big size ( chopped)
7. Cloves - 2
8. Cinamon stic - a small piece
Seasoning:
1. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
2. Seasame seeds - 1 1/2 tsp
3. Curry leaves - 3-4
Method:
1. Boil the eggs, remove shells and give a split in the centre of the egg. Keep it aside in a bowl.
2. Heat oil in a pan, add seasme seeds, cloves, cinamon. Allow it get brown and not black as the colour of the seasame seeds gets changed immediately in the hot oil. Once the colour changes to brown, add red chillies, green chillies, ginger, garlic, chopped onion and fry for 2 minutes.
3. Once the fried items gets room temperature, grind it to fine paste by adding little water. The cosistency should be in paste form.
4. Heat oil in a pan, add seasame seeds, curry leaves and mustard seeds for the seasoning. Add the grind paste to the oil. It requires little bit more oil, as the paste will gets stick to the pan. Once the colour of the paste turns to brown and the raw smell goes, add the boiled eggs to the paste and give a stir and close the pan with the lid for 1 or 2 minutes.
5. Serve it hot with white rice or roti.
option: 1. If you want you can add little water and make it to a thick gravy form.
2. You can also serve this with a lemon slice.
