CUCUMBER JUICE

This is one of the easiest and thirst arresting juice which can be prepared in few minutes and with few ingredients. This is a mild flavoured juice, which we can serve before or after meals or when ever you are feeling tired and required energy. Instead of giving gulcose drinks to kids, we can try this...

Ingredients:

1. Cucumber - 1 big size ( skin completely peeled)
2. Lemon juice - 2 tsp
3. Salt - as required
4. Mint - garnish before serving
5. Pepper powder - 1 pinch
6. Water - 3/4 cup

Method:

1. Chop the peeled cucumber into pieces. Put it into an electrice juicer .

2. Once the cucumber is completely grinded, filter it without any residue.

3. Transfer it to a serving glass.Mix water, lemon juice, salt, pepper powder and give a gentle stir.

4. Serve mint leaves on top of juice or you can lightly crush it out and mix with the juice.

CARROT JUICE

For a healthy diet in fast running life, juice place a vital role. Try this vitamin rich recipe for your family !

Ingredients:  

1.  juicy carrots - 3 big
2.  lemon juice - 1 tsp
3.  crushed ice - 1/2cup
4.  sugar - 2 tsp.
5.  salt - 1/4tsp.
6. mint powder - to taste
7. pepper powder - to taste
8. tender sprigs of fresh mint to garnish


Method:

1. Steam carrots in double boiler for 4-5 minutes. 

2. Cool and chill still required for juice.

3. Chop carrots roughly, put into an electric juicer.

4. Add salt, sugar, grind to a smooth paste.

5. Add 400 ml. chilled water, run again till frothy.

6. Strain through a fine mesh, discarding residue.

7. Put crushed ice in 3 tall slender glasses.

8. Pour juice into them, forming a froth.

9. Sprinkle mint and pepper powder lightly.

10. Place a small mint leaf couplet for garnish on top.

11. Serve immediately.
